Swimming

We spent what felt like half an hour getting Cameron ready to go swimming - lotion, little swimmers, bathing suit, hat, sunglasses - all for 10 minutes of fun. I should have known.

Still just 3 bottom teeth, but his top gums are so swollen it makes my mouth hurt.

Here he is trying to catch the water.

You had to know my child would figure out how to make some part of this activity consumable. He can't drink from a sippy cup, but he can drink from a water fountain.

Oversized load.

Don't judge. It's funny.

Let him eat cake!

You know he didn't pass up the chance to eat some chocolate cake. (Yes, I threw those baby books out the window a long time ago. )

Outside???

These pictures make Cameron seem like he hates outside, but he cries when I go out without him. It's going to be a long summer for us because my child is allergic to heat. We do want to move, but I don't think Cameron understands that does not mean AWAY from Louisiana. Anytime he goes outside he breaks out in what we're calling "eczema," which causes him to cry and break out in itchy red patches. We have an appointment to get an actual diagnosis instead of just relying on WebMD.

Our compromise...he's sitting in his swing close enough to the door to see outside. The plus side...no eczema outbreak!

Don't forget to vote in the poll on the right hand side. Four more weeks until we know the gender.

Summer is here! Well...almost

Cameron's 1st snowball. It's no freeze pop, but he ate it. Were you surprised?

The pool looked so much bigger on the box.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I'm going to miss my Spring Break.

It was a great vacation spent with Cameron. He's all over the place now. He doesn't like to crawl on hard floors so he's learned to hold onto stuff and walk very quickly.

I don't know if this means he needs to go see an eye doctor, but he likes to watch his favorite dvd, Baby Songs, this close. I'm worried it's going to give Brian the idea we need a bigger TV.

Helpful parenting tip...when your kid starts exploring new places, make sure the camera is nearby. Yes, he was too big to turn around and get out.

They say you start showing earlier with the second one. Yup.
