Pictures

We are home and doing well. We are adjusting to our new little guy and loving every second of being with him. It's so hard to put him down knowing that one day he won't want to be held in my arms. He will have a photographed life, and I hope to keep this as updated as possible. It may take me a while to figure out the best way to post pictures on the blog. I'll get it though.

Cameron Barry Rodrigue

Cameron came into this world at 1:17pm yesterday. He weighed in at 8 lb 3 oz and is 20.5 in long. We were actually supposed to be induced at 5:00 am, but at 2:30 am my water decided to break. I expected us to need Noah's Ark when my water broke, but to tell the truth at first I just thought I peed on myself. I eventually figured it out when it kept going. We made it to the hospital in record time thanks to green lights and Brian's attempt at becoming a Nascar driver. As far as labor goes, well thank goodness for epidurals. At about 12:50 the doctor came in and the pushing process started. It really wasn't bad at all.

One more day!

Here's the final belly picture at 39 weeks. (I decided to spare you the picture of the stretch marks.) I haven't had an ultrasound in 5 weeks, but I'm pretty sure there's still a baby in there instead of the watermelon it resembles. Every time I have false labor pains and tell Brian out loud, "Maybe we'll go to the hospital today," the pains have stopped. Well tomorrow Boomer will be taken by force. It's time. We'll be checking in at the hospital at 5am if they have a room for us. Brian will try to post as often as possible with updates. Please keep us in your prayers and check back tomorrow afternoon.
