It's Baseball time!
Jack is so impressed Cameron and Daddy hit the ball.

He loves every minute of t-ball. I love that he gets his own ball after he hits it.
First take a look at the faces of Brian and Cameron. Pure happiness and delight. See the white blob in the picture? Yup, that's the ball. I had Jack in one arm and the camera was in the other. Thank God my instinct was not to drop either and try to catch the ball. Amazingly the ball missed the camera and Jack's face and hit me right in the boob.

Pictures from April
So I decided to play dress up. I only decided to play dress up because my husband provoked me. I did my best to try to dress him up like one of the T Birds from Grease.

Don't let this innocent smile deceive you. This kid is aggressive in every sense of the word. Brian's eye was red and blood shot, and he said Jack had poked him in the eye. Well of course I am going to give the man hell every time I see him. Poked in the eye by a 5 month old. Really? Those ninja hands are fast I guess. And then Karma came back to bite me in the ass (or really the eye). Wouldn't you know I'm teasing Jack about being chunky and this ninja finger skewers my contact and cornea. I was too taken aback to even look for my contact. The kid had the nerve to smile at me. Karma...you bitch.

Cameron is nothing but a free spirit these days. He's learned to take off every piece of clothing except the diaper. He just checks his pee pee every now and again to make sure it hasn't fallen off, but the diaper is still okay. He's even sampled a worm. It was Good Friday nonetheless.

I need to either be tested for early Alzheimer's or I need a shorter car. The list is now adding up when it comes to things I have left on the top of my car. Cups and coke cans are just a weekly occurrence. Of course the drinks are almost always freshly poured and filled to the top. I'm always shocked by the sound of a coke can hitting the ground though. Lately I've managed to leave Cameron's shoes on the hood of my car, a birthday card and a level. I put the level there because I knew that I would see it to remember to pick it up. Yeah, I saw it. Halfway down the street I realized there was a level on the hood of my car. The birthday card was awesome though. I brought the card to the mailbox, opened the mailbox and walked back to my car with the card still in hand. I put it on the top of my car because I would get the mailbox on the way out. I drove off like a bat out of hell only to later realize that the birthday card never made it to the mailbox. Crazy thing? I found the birthday card down the street in my subdivision.

I take it back
The boys have been quite a handful lately. I've been taking them out a lot, and I've realized that judging people's parenting has come back to bite me in the ass. Allow me to explain:
Pre kids: Witnessing a parent drag their screaming child from point A to point B. Horrific!
Me with kids: Cameron HATES the cry room in church; however, he is incapable of closing his mouth for an hour so we have to sit in the cry room. As we are walking back from communion, I am holding Cameron's hand. He's cheesing it up for the crowd and shaking hands until he's stopped dead in his tracks and realizes we're going back into the cry room. Cue tantrum. He throws himself on the floor so that he's lying facing the ceiling of the church and he is now screaming. Begin judgment. I grab the kid by one arm and stand him up. The feet won't budge. I don't have another arm to pick him up so I use the arm pit technique. Wrap him up under the arm pits and just pray (ironic) you don't drop one of them.
Pre kids: Shocked that parents will sit back and let their kids beat up on each other.
Me with kids: Yeah Cameron's riding Jack like he is a horsey. It is a cute picture though.
Pre kids: Why do people insist on taking pictures of their kids in the tub?
Me with kids: And here's the picture. And no, I don't have an answer to the above question.

Pre kids: Why do moms with young kids always look so frazzled and not put together? I would never go out looking sloppy.
Me with kids: Okay so I regularly leave the house without makeup and several times I have gone into a public place into my jammies. If I am being completely honest, twice I have forgotten a bra (no one would notice anyway) and once I forgot underwear. Not sure if I was just sleep deprived or if I was behind on laundry, but oddly I didn't even realize it until I was already in CVS.
