The beach

Our trip to Gulf Shores with the Rodrigue family was a success although at one point I thought I would purchase an air brushed T-shirt saying, "I survived Gulf Shores with an 11 month old." Let's recap...on the car ride there we strategically planned it so that Cameron would sleep in the car during his regularly scheduled nap time. All was going great until both Brian and I realized peeing in a bottle was not an option for either of us, and we stopped at the Louisiana/Mississippi border to go to the bathroom. No one really told us how much farther Gulf Shores is from that point. Cameron tried every incredible Hulk move he could think of to bust out of that car seat, but luckily those straps held on.

Cameron enjoyed the lazy river. Which translates to "his mother and father really liked the lazy river so he got stuck floating with us in there the majority of the time." :-) We kept our baby safe in his ring. We almost had to cut him out of it or grease his legs with sunscreen to slide it off.

Cameron didn't always stick to a nap schedule, but he sure passed out at times. One night the fire alarm went off around 10pm. The child slept through the alarm all the way until we made it to the downstairs lobby. The best part was watching Brian trying to cover the room's fire alarm with his hands in an effort to muffle the sound.

Cameron had a great time playing with his cousins during this trip. He especially loves his cousin Cy for trying to push him on the train. My arms and back would also like to thank Cy for the valiant effort he gave.

My child is that kid. All boy and sometimes a little gross. He got really good at picking his nose, and as you can see he has no shame.

We didn't get to spend a ton of time outside. Cameron has pretty bad eczema, which is aggravated by the chlorine and sun. His arms ended up feeling like sandpaper covered in red, itchy blotches. By Tuesday, his arms were discolored to the point where it looked like he had a tan.

Cameron actually enjoyed letting the waves crash into him in the sand. What you don't see is how much he enjoyed the sand. I'm pretty sure that little part of the beach is going to be the first to fade away due to the amount of sand my child consumed. Here's Cameron with his cousins Adele and Ty before the jellyfish swarmed the beach.

20 weeks. A huge thank you to my husband for using a great angle to minimize the size of my growing belly. Check back on Monday for the big announcement on the baby's gender.
